Terra Sancta Pilgrimages is a Franciscan ministry of Catholic evangelization and pilgrimage. We undertake pilgrimages locally and to the Holy Land to spiritually renew Catholics in their discipleship. We also strive to build bridges with the Mother Church of Jerusalem.
We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), staffed by volunteers and fueled by prayer. This nine-year-old ministry was co-founded by Franciscan friar, Fr. Alex Kratz, OFM, and Patti Giangrande, OFS, a Secular Franciscan. Including local pilgrimages, TSP has accompanied nearly 1,000 people on their spiritual journeys. We bring Scripture-based presentations to parishes, lead retreats and parish missions. Our Board of Directors includes Detroit Auxiliary Bishop Francis Reiss as our Episcopal Advisor. Fr. Kratz serves as our Spiritual Director and leads all the pilgrimages. In 2015, Terra Sancta Pilgrimages re-located their offices to 400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, on the St. Joseph Chapel and Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary campus, and is a vibrant component of the Catholic Lay Association of the Faithful, Terra Sancta Ministries.
